Young at Heart
by Judith Griffin
Overview
This workshop was designed specifically for senior citizens who are
young at heart and who want to be of service to their communities! Participants
were encouraged to find an area of service in which they felt comfortable,
then share ideas, experiences and examples of how that service could
be easily incorporated into their daily lives.
Gayle Woolson, a knight of Baháulláh, was the highlight.
Along with her, Darlene Taylor and Judith Griffin talked about international
travel teaching. Gayle, also shared her experience with helping young
children learn how to speak in public. Approximately 50 were in attendance.
Young at Hearts next meeting will be at Bosch Baháí School May
8-12, 2002 (Conference May 10-12). Two of the presenters at this meeting:
Jack McCants and Dr. Homayoun Mahmoudi. Come early on May 8 and do some
volunteer service at Bosch!
