
Tai Chi, a 2000 Year Old prescription for the Future

The art and practice of TAI Chi Chuan is an ancient and holistic
mind, body and spirit exercise with roots in Buddhism and Taoism. Participants
in this workshop were introduced to TAI Chi Chuan through Foundation
Exercises (Yi Jin Jing). These Foundation Exercises are stand alone,
simple, yet profound movements which, when performed regularly, prepare
the body for the TAI Chi Chuan form. Participants performed a
series of Foundation Exercises and then watched the presenter perform
parts of the TAI Chi Chuan form. The handouts bellow were offered.
