Insights on Community Development from Survey Research
by Theresa Zingery
Overview
Participants explored data from the Baháí community
and other religious groups to learn more about various measures of community
development and see how it might be useful to development planning in
their own communities.
Outline
1. Shared reason such data on research is useful and ties into the
guidance of the Universal House of Justice
2. Had them take 12 questions from the survey themselves
3. Shared general findings from the Survey research on the aspects that
relate to strong vibrant communities
4. Read together quotes from the Baháí Writings
that relate to what a strong Baháí community should
be like
5. Compared their average results with that for other small congregations
and discussed implications for the future
