Achieving Unity in a Culturally Diverse Community

by Dr. Carolyn Staples

Overview

The goal of the workshop is to assist communities that are or hope to become multicultural to understand the power of culture in everyone’s life, the Bahá’í Writings about culture, and effective ways to act on those Writings to develop a family of cultures model in the community. Since any culture is a result of a group learning history, elements of culture can and do change with new learning. Bahá’ú’lláh informs us that all cultures will need to change in some aspects to unify the human family, and delineates the changes necessary.

Handouts shared at the workshop are available upon request.
